I thought it was for “rich people”

. . . but I kind of thought EVERYTHING was for rich people 😂

Good evening, precious sunshine ☀️

Hey– it might sound kind of cheesy to say, but I do actually consider our virtual relationship part of our “real” relationship. Thanks for staying connected with me 💕

When I was in my mid 20s, I hadn’t yet done anything much to overcome the limiting beliefs and ways of experiencing life that I grew up with.

So when my Network Spinal chiropractor, whom I had just met and had my first appointment with, recommended that I see her twice a week, I was incredulous 😮

“TWICE a week? And to just lightly touch me?? Boy oh boy. This is clearly just for rich people,” I said to myself.

It was a constant and familiar refrain that I had growing up; something (that we didn’t have) must be for rich people.

  • 🧃 Capri sun? For rich people.
  • 👸 Going to Disney? For rich people.
  • 📺 TV in your bedroom?! Rich people!!
  • 🍿Popcorn at the movies? (If we ever went, we brought our own popcorn hidden in plastic grocery bags inside my mom’s purse)

(Once in college, when I found out that a friend’s father was a dentist, I was aghast . . “RICH PEOPLE!”) 😂🙏

And I was CLEARLY not a rich person. So I was incredulous that I was being asked to spend this kind of money that I didn’t have on this weird new chiropractic.

Me?!

But luckily, and I say luckily because if this hadn’t been the case I wouldn’t have done it (and then where would we be now?), I was desperate. 😱

I really felt I had no choice but to whip our my credit card, because I needed to be out of pain enough to function in my life and make money 😢

I share all of this because I think most of us can relate to the experience of being in survival, and how this impacts us.

I consider that early experience of being asked to pay for 2x/week care, and doing it, a move in the direction of changing my thoughts and reality around survival vs. being in possibility.

The biggest step forward though– and this would sound weird to a lot of people outside of our New Day world– was just through the experience of the care itself ✨✨✨

Survival is very much a physical experience, transmitting through our nervous systems, locking up our spines, tightening our muscles, shortening our breaths, and giving us tunnel vision instead of access to a big picture 😰😰😰

My intention for you is that your every adjustment with me gives you more access to life beyond survival, and beyond managing your circumstances ☀️💗💥🌍🌀🙌

When I tell you that when I first started in Network Spinal care I would leave the office feeling like “I was on drugs,” it is because I had no other way to describe the feeling at the time.

The feeling is an experience of you as MORE, a feeling and functioning to interrupt your stress-based patterns, and to give you increasing confidence that this newer experience is the Real reality ✨

(It also helps the abundance quotient that when we are out of the energy-poor survival reality, we tend to take better care of ourselves and spend less money on knee-jerk, fear-based, short-term “fixes” for our problems)

Thank you for being part of the solution in this world, sunshine. I’ll see you this week for your care, and possibly at Intro to Care or Experience the 12 Stages 💖
