Create Lasting Change

There are so many ways that the care that I practice, Network Spinal, helps people physically and in their lives. As I described in my story of how this care helped me, I was able to have less pain and an increased, helpful sense of connection in my spine and body.

The secret of why this care works for so many different people is that we are getting to the root cause of many people’s pain, tension, stress, and misalignments in the spine– a nervous system that’s been stuck in fight or flight and a brain-body connection that isn’t working.

Once you begin to receive Network Spinal care and receive adjustments regularly, a series of physiological events begins occurring in your body– both on the adjusting table, and more and more so off the adjusting table (in your life) as well.

As these changes begin, many people notice their breath get fuller and deeper, seemingly on its own without forcing it to do so. They notice their bodies and spines feeling more relaxed, longer, or lighter. People often also notice different urges to stretch, move about, or change habitual postures and movement patterns (such as the way you sit at a computer, or the way you hold your body when you exercise). These are some of the main sure-fire signs that your nervous system is improving so your body can heal and make necessary changes.

There are as many other different sorts of changes that people notice during adjustments and between visits as there are different people– every BODY is different.

I love how educational Dr. Katie is as well as caring, she always wants you to be your best self! After just 2 months of care, my post marathon aches and pains are very little to non-existent AND I now have range of motion in my neck and shoulders that I haven’t had in YEARS!!! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Katie to anyone that will listen.

The Network Spinal Adjustment

A Network Spinal adjustment is a process of seemingly light adjustments to the upper and lower spine. The adjustments themselves are not at all like typical chiropractic adjustments in that there is no racking and cracking. In fact, it will feel like I am barely touching you!

This adjustment process lasts about 15-20 minutes; only as long as it takes to interrupt your nervous system’s stress response and for there to be a resulting physical and physiological improvement.

Although clients may experience a difference after just one adjustment, the best results come when care is received on a regular basis over time. Just as you would not expect to lose 50 pounds in one workout, change can take time, because our current experience is a cumulative result of past processes. I hope that you find Network Spinal so impactful that this becomes an irreplaceable part of your health and wellness routines.

Additional Benefits of Network Spinal

Many clients find that the benefits they receive to their nervous systems allows them to experience less pain, greater peace, added energy, and an increased ability to focus on the things they truly love.

While Network Spinal is a holistic form of care and is not intended as a treatment for any medical diagnosis or disease, here is a short list of some of the symptoms or conditions that I have seen improve for my clients through Network Spinal care with me.

The Goop Lab with Gwyneth Paltrow episode “The Energy Experience.”

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Netflix series exploring various alternative health modalities and topics featured Network Spinal practitioner John Amaral in a 2020 episode. I actually thought that the care was relatively well presented in this episode and recommend you watch it if you’d like to go deeper with what I do.

The 12 Stages of Healing

Donny Epstein, creator of Network Spinal wrote The 12 Stages of Healing in the early 1990s. It’s a good background for both Network Spinal care and Somato Respiratory Integration. I recommend this to new clients who want to go deeper in their understanding so that they can benefit even further from our work together.

Here are a couple of blogs I’ve written that explore the 12 Stages:
