We got gooped

We got gooped!

and this is most likely a good thing ๐Ÿ™‚

Good evening, New Day community! โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒ•๐ŸŒ

So I found out this week that we got gooped.

By “we” I don’t mean me personally, or specifically New Day in Chicago.

What I mean is that Network Spinal is being featured on Gwyneth Paltrow’s soon to be airing on Netflix “The goop Lab.”

If you’re a little behind on this, here’s the lowdown. Gwyneth Paltrow, actress, has for years been a health and lifestyle aficionado with a brand called “goop” that is dedicated to curating and recommending products and ideas for her followers.

Some people have found this side of Gwyneth a bit pretentious (to say the least). But despite her haters, and has continued in her quest, becoming successful enough with goop to have created “The goop Lab,” a documentary featuring many of her health and wellness finds.

The documentary airs on January 24th, and among the practices featured is Network Spinal, the form of care Dr. Virginia and I practice at New Day, thanks to Gwyneth’s work with Network Spinal practitioner and life coach extraordinaire John Amaral.

You can see glimpses of NS in this trailer:

I believe a potential downside of this publicity, as you might imagine, is that so much of what is being featured will most likely be sensationalized and may strike viewers as weird, outre, and designed to appeal to the privileged few who can afford to throw a little extra money around in their search for a holistic healing fountain of youth.

But, I also believe that all you can do is put information out there, and it’s up to the people receiving the information to decide what to do with it.

Any publicity around a form of care that has directly helped many thousands of people around the world (if not more!), regain health, energy, and aliveness, and yet remains mostly unheard of, is a great thing.ย  I am excited for the conversation and interest “being gooped” may stimulate! ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ƒ

Often times we put so much pressure on ourselves and other people. I regularly hear our practice members at New Day say, “I love this care. But how can I recommend it to people when I don’t know how to explain it?”ย  Or, “I only want to recommend people to New Day who are solid and likely to follow through because I don’t want to waste your time and energy.”

It’s not up to Gwyneth Paltrow, or up you, to say the perfect thing or anticipate who the right person will be to hear the perspective you have about Network Spinal ๐ŸŒ€

All we can do is plant the seeds, and we never know which ones will grow!

Remember how I’ve told you over and over again that someone I didn’t even know mentioned to me that his chiropractor “touches me lightly on the leg and then I feel better” when I was about to start in grad school for Sociology.ย  I had no money whatsoever.ย  And I didn’t fancy myself an aficionado of unusual health and lifestyle practices.ย  And I definitely didn’t think I would want or need chiropractic for the rest of my life!ย  Lol ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

But look at me, and us, now <3

Thank you SO MUCH, from the bottom of my heart, for your energy, aliveness, and any efforts you’ve made, big or small, perfect of imperfect, to let someone know about our care.ย  You are contributing to people in ways you might never even know about.

We can’t wait to see you this week and let the magic continue to unfold ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒ€โœจ๐ŸŒ
