Your attention to nuance matters ✨✨✨

These fundamentals are EVERYTHING
Good afternoon, sunshine! Thanks for showing up and shining your light on this cold, cloudy afternoon 🙌
I was thinking this morning, while working with clients at New Day, that there are some important ideas, pointers, and concepts that I think we sometimes forget about after “the law of familiarity” sets in for you with me, New Day, and Network Spinal care.
Yes, even if you love Network Spinal, New Day, and me (!), it can and still does happen that we can become a little bit. . . de-sensitized? Complacent?
I don’t mean to say that I think we are taking each other for granted 😊
Because it’s actually a great and important thing to be able to “get used to” feeling good and having a relaxing-yet-energizing place to go to have someone help take care of you every week 🏡💕☀️
Once you’ve started to benefit from Network Spinal care in a way that you find comforting, predictable, and brings you peace of mind, it is important to then also remember that our task is to have your nervous system be able to be clear, open, and flexible to change, variation, and growth. Not just exist in a constant state of relaxation!
That might sometimes mean being open to an experience of care that is different than what you’ve grown accustomed to. And that might be just what you need! #thenervousystemneedsnovelty
Here are some ideas I have for keeping your experience of care with me as fresh and beneficial as it can be. We are going back to basics, y’all! 🙌
1. Focus AT THE GATEWAY
The “gateway” is the special name Donny Epstein created to describe the exact place where I do the adjustment along your spine.
The “gateway” is so named because it is not just a physical location. It is an access point to ALL THE LOCATIONS related to the spinal cord tension pattern we are working with.
When I am doing an adjustment, focus where my hands are. But not just that, focus on the exact, specific spot that I am touching.
Then, notice the effect that is created in your body and physiology through your nervous system 🌀✨🌀
2. The adjustments at your gateways are creating interruptions to the signals your nervous system would otherwise be sending.
Recapping here, notice the exact spot where the gateway is and how stimulating that area creates an effect on your nervous system and body.
Then, notice how that effect is creating an interruption, a pause, a space through which you can continue to move, breathe, and/or focus differently and more productively ✨✨✨
I walk away from you and go to another sunshine on another table.
You, meanwhile, are continuing to feel and function in the “space” created by the adjustment/interruption. Thanks, nervous system!
Use the time wisely and continue feeling and functioning in the improved state as long as possible! THIS is practice for when you are outside of New Day.
3. During the spaces/interruptons you become present. But present to what?
You’re on the table. I’m doing an adjustment and you’re focuing on the exact place where this is happening and the effect it is having on you.
And space is being created to create a new ability to focus, feel, and be present.
Question: But what are you becoming present to, exactly? 🤔
This ⬆️ THIS is the leap I think many of you are making and/or are ready to make ✨💥💗☀️🌀🌍
When the nervous system is interrupted in it’s habitual patterns, there are different things that you might be noticing about your breath, body, energy state, pain or lack of pain, during these spaces.
It’s not going to be the same every time, nor should it!
For you to continue to benefit from Network Spinal care in a way that continues to rock your world (not just “good”!), noticing and leaning into these different ways your nervous system and body will respond to the adjustments is EVERYTHING.
4. The 12 Stages provides a framework to help you get the benefits of what comes during your adjustments.
When you are on the table (or outside of New Day too!) and can feel that your nervous system is working in the new and improved funtionality, think of the 12 Stages like 12 different TV stations 📺
Having an awareness of what station your nervous system is tuning into can be an important part of becoming even more present: you’ll know what to listen for and watch for and you’ll enjoy the experience even more.

Experience the 12 Stages is my updated version of the “Focused Breath” or “SRI Workshop.” (Breathwork is part of how we access the energy of each of the stages).
This experience is so important and valuable for so many of you, whether you have done the workshop with me once or twice, or you attend every chance you can get!
Right now there are 2 spots left in the November 8th Workshop. I would HAPPILY created another workshop right after the first one to accommodate more people wanting this experience, if need be!
