Other Tools We Use

As I discussed before I choose to focus my time with clients at New Day by practicing Network Spinal care because it continues to be the best and most effective healing modality that I have found. I can do more for people through this care than through anything else I know of because it changes how your whole nervous system functions.

That said, there are 3 adjunctive modalities that I make use of with my clients at New Day as well. You can read more about them below.

Somato Respiratory Integration (SRI)

Somato Respiratory Integration (SRI)  is a breathwork technique also developed by Donny Epstein (creator of Network Spinal care).  The technique was pre-framed in his 1994 book The Twelve Stages of Healing, and detailed in his 2009 Somato Respiratory Integration Workbook. This technique is designed to be used alone as a stand-alone healing modality, practiced on your own or with a practitioner, or in conjunction with Network Spinal care.

I have personally found this work transforming, as well as in my work with clients, both individually and when practicing together in a small group class. Over the course of the last few years, I began referring to my version of this work as either “the breathwork” or “Focused Breath” in my work at New Day.

The reasons I re-named the work are that SRI/Somato Respiratory Integration is SUCH a mouthful. Also, the name “SRI” really does nothing for the average person to understand what it is. Lastly, I like having my own version of this work with its own name because I feel it gives me the freedom to practice it as I like, which is not always going to be exactly how Donny Epstein might do it (nor should it be).

BEMER

I really wasn’t looking for BEMER. But, BEMER found me!

I had suffered a foot injury that did not seem to be healing or getting better over the course of weeks. One BEMER session was enough to convince me that this machine is doing something important and necessary to support blood circulation and healing in the body.

I quickly decided that whether or not I have an active injury, I need the help that BEMER is providing, just for my overall well being. And that I wanted to bring BEMER into New Day and share it with my clients.

BEMER stands for “Bio-ElectroMagnetic-Energy-Regulation.” It’s a mat-like medical device that improves circulation in your body. More specifically, your capillaries and microvasculature, the tiny blood vessels through your body, legs, and feet that make up 75% of your body’s circulatory system.

I urge clients at New Day to try BEMER and to use it on a regular basis before or after Network Spinal care. You can add it as a single BEMER session to your next appointment or you may purchase a package so that you can use it every time.

Essential Oils

I knew what essential oils were for many years but wasn’t actively using them. It wasn’t until I had one particular very healing experience with an essential oil that I decided that I wanted to do more with them.

This experience happened to me right before I opened New Day in 2013. And so Young Living Essential Oils have been an “essential” part of New Day since its inception!

Essential oils are natural products made from plants that do not contain any perfumes, chemicals, or additives. I diffuse the oils at New Day to promote an atmosphere of healing, helping tap into your emotional brain through smell. I also sometimes use oils directly on clients during their Network Spinal adjustments. You may also choose to use these oils outside the office to help your nervous system continue to have access to the connected, relaxed state attained during your appointment with me.
