Good morning, sunshine 😎 How are things in your world?
Over here at New Day in Skokie we are bursting with activity. The sun is setting on summer, fall is coming, and our yearly event New Day Fest is rapidly approaching! 🌅💥🍃☀️👯♀️
Not this weekend. This weekend is our town’s yearly street festival “The Backlots Bash.”
Not NEXT weekend. Next weekend is Labor Day weekend.
BUT the weekend AFTER THAT— Saturday, September 12th from 12PM-2:30PM– is when we send our sunshine signal out into the neighborhood and the world ☀️🏡💥🌍
Over the coming weeks we will be giving you more info about all the treats we will have for you.
As we’ve mentioned, we’ve already arranged for the baby animals petting zoo in the side yard from 1-2:30PM 🐐🐥🐇
And right now I am finalizing the details with Nena of Nena’s Sweet Treats for a special, New Day themed sourdough pastry.
Learning sourdough bread-making is definitely on my list of things to do, but until then I grab a loaf every week from Nena 🍞
On occasion she also will make delightful sourdough pastries for the market as well. They are so nice and chewy, and not too sweet!
This gave me the idea to ask Nena if she could make a pastry for us for New Day Fest 💥💥💥
I tasted the prototype last Sunday! It is filled with tasty lemon filling and will have crunchy pistachios on top.
What should we call this creation, I wonder??? Do you have any ideas?
These special little gems will be available one per person on a first-come, first served basis for our guests at New Day Fest! 💎💎💎
Being given a tasty, lemony, New Day delight is a great reason to come to New Day Fest on September 12th ✨🍋🍩
AND some even better reasons are to spend quality time with me, Taylor, and our other sunshines of New Day ☀️☀️☀️
This open house event is the who’s who of New Day, and gives us a special opportunity to bring friends and family as well.
Of course we are putting on an event for you, so Taylor and I will be “working.”
But this is also our chance to enjoy time with each other, and you 🤩🤩🤩
It is the perfect time of year for an indoor/outdoor event. New Day will be a hive of activity.
Be sure to wear your “Hello Sunshine” shirt, or get a yellow shirt or outfit ready to show your New Day spirit 🌟
There are many people in the area who probably have no idea what New Day or Network Spinal care about.
New Day Fest is an opportunity to give them a taste, allowing them to sample the high vibes for themselves. I think they’ll feel it even if they’re just in the general vicinity 😆
