Good morning, sunshine! Happy Thursday and thank you for opening this message ๐Ÿ’•

The big news in my life lately is that we finally got the landscaping for the side yard at New Day!

We have some new grass, that will be much better for being outside for events and workshops, and some new foliage ๐Ÿ˜

It makes me so happy every time we are able to make some investment, however small, in the outside of the building or the yard. I love seeing how happy it makes people!

You might not even notice the difference right away when you come here for care, but for the people that live and work in this neighborhood, this makes a big difference.

Nearly every time I’m outside watering (which is OFTEN, as I will explain in a moment), someone from the neighborhood stops and tells me how happy they are to see someone taking care of this home and property!

I know it sounds cheesy, but it seriously gives me a boost, feeling like I’m doing my part to beautify this area and make people happy about living and working here. If someone walks past New Day and it makes them feel like things are going right in this world, I feel fulfilled ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ‘ฏโ€โ™€๏ธโœจ

It turns out, however, that sod has to be watered CONSTANTLY. At least in the beginning until it’s established and happy.

“You have to water the shit out of it” is what I’ve been told ๐Ÿ˜†

Now, my free time is devoted to watering the grass! You can’t only just use a sprinkler, either. Because of the edges. Soooo many edges ๐Ÿ˜‚

This weekend, though, my husband Josh will need to take over lawn care because I am going to Florida for a girlfriend’s weekend with my bestie to celebrate her birthday YAY๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฏโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ™

I’ll look forward to seeing you TODAY for your care, and then next week after I get back from the weekend in Miami โ˜€๏ธ

If I’m not in here, look for me outside where I’ll be watering the lawn ๐Ÿ™
