Glutton for transformation

The me that I thought I’d become keeps changing. . .

Which of these 6 human needs are most important to you?

Good afternoon and happy Sunday, sunshine! I hope you get the chance to get out and get a little fresh air on this lovely and relatively warm day โœจ๐ŸชŸโ˜€๏ธ

Many in this New Day community (“community” by which I mean you are reading this and have some relationship to me and my care) tend to have sometime in common with eachother and with me.

๐Ÿ’ฅ It’s a trait that might sometimes make our lives a little more challenging.

๐Ÿ’ฅ BUT it’s also a trait that brings meaning and purpose to our lives.

๐Ÿ’ฅ And this trait that we have in common might even have others accuse you of being a snob! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

That common trait is that we have high standards ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ†

We don’t like to waste time and energy on things that don’t contribute to our ability to live according to our values and be better for the world ๐ŸŒ๐ŸŒ€๐Ÿ’—

According to Tony Robbins, there are 6 basic human needs (which can also be thought of as values). We all need all of them, but some our more important to some of us than others.

Those needs are:

1) Certainty ๐Ÿ™‚
2) Variety/Uncertainty ๐ŸŽข
3) Significance ๐Ÿฅ‡
4) Love ๐Ÿ’—
5) Growth/Transformation ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ’ฅ
6) Contribution ๐Ÿ™Œ ๐ŸŒ€๐ŸŒ

Many of us here strongly value growth and transformation (a natural corollary to our high standards!)ย ย ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Some might say I’m a glutton for transformation and growth experiences ๐Ÿ˜‚

But I’ve found them VERY necessary for me. Even to be able to attain this modest level of “success” in a career of helping others, and in being able to design the life that I have, there has been a massive amount of de-conditioning and re-conditioning that needed to take place ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ™โœจ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐ŸŒ€๐Ÿ’—

And the me who I thought I’d become keeps changing! ๐Ÿ˜‚

I’ve done Tony Robbins, Landmark, and Donny’s work (such as going to The Gate as I recently did with Taylor), retreats, spiritual paths, and many more!

All these paths and programs have had great things to offer me, and by extension those around me, by freeing up more of my energy so that I can be even more present with myself and others, and helping me have even more love for people so that I can serve the planet better ๐Ÿ’—๐ŸŒ€๐ŸŒ

I’ll be jumping into another new growth experience the first week of April that will have me out of the office from April 6th- April 10th.

I’m doing the week-long retreat with Joe Dispenza, y’all!

I’m so excited to see how participation in this event adds to my wellbeing, health, and understanding of transformational events and communities.

l wanted to let you know about this as early as possible so that you can 1) be excited for me and get ready to benefit vicariously and 2) Plan your care around a week missing from the schedule ๐Ÿ˜Š

Before I sign off, I do want to get back to those 6 Human Needs Tony Robbins talks about.

Tony says that if something in our lives fulfills multiple of these needs simultaneously, we will be hooked! (So you better make sure it’s something healthy!)

Here are those 6 needs again with how I hope that they fulfill you in your life at New Day through my care.

Which ones matter most to you?

1) Certainty ๐Ÿ™‚ You can be certain that you will leave here with your nervous system better regulated, better connected, out of fight or flight, and into a sense of safety.

You can be almost certain that this will have you leave feeling better than when you came in. You might even start feeling better the moment you arrive! #yourhappyplace

2) Variety/Uncertainty ๐ŸŽขย  You notice that every adjustment is different.

There are probably an infinite number of things you can focus on and become aware of when you are on the table and I’m working with you that can take you on an adventure, creating new neural pathways and weakening old ones.

3) Significance ๐Ÿฅ‡ YOU are important to me! You are an important part of this community and I want you to feel that at all times โ˜€๏ธ

4) Love ๐Ÿ’— Love is more than affection, it’s full acceptance. I’m not trying to change or fix you (even though you might sometimes wish I would!)

Instead, I’m focusing on where and how your nervous system is expressing abundant energy and information, your best and brightest aspects, and encouraging those pathways to become dominant.

5) Growth ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ’ฅ First it was your back pain (for example). Then you had a breakthrough and now you know it’s the YOU that experiencing the diminished access to energy and information through the nervous system that is manifesting back pain. A subtle but powerful shift.

Now maybe sometimes you notice that you’re back to focusing on your back pain. But you have perspective. Growth is not linear, and it can be humbling, but it is so rewarding.

6) Contribution ๐Ÿ™Œ ๐ŸŒ€๐ŸŒ Through events, the group adjusting room, and more you begin to experience yourself less as a recipient and more as a contributing member.

Maybe it’s through what you say or do, but more likely just through how you are showing up and your way of being. You leave here shining brighter for the world and lighting up those around youโ˜€๏ธ

Thank you for being part of this journey of transformation, New Day. I’ll see you in the sunshine room this week ๐Ÿ’–
