For the love of PETS πππβπ¦Ί
Need your help this week and next!
Top of the morning to you, New Day lovelies. Thank you for opening this message π
This week and next we are doing something fun, and something that I hope will make a difference for some precious little blessings in need π»
I know that not necessarily all of you reading this are “pet-people.”
But hopefully most of you will agree that the relationships we pet-parents have with our little fur babies are extremely special, uplifting, and meaningful. For us, and for them!
We have an initiative going on right now called “For the Love of Pets.” (Which may seem a little strangely timed, given that my last message to you was about how my adjustments are so much more than just “some random pets” πππ THAT was just a complete coincidence!)
The point of For the Love of Pets is to gather pet food, supplies, and contributions for Community Animal Rescue Effort (CARE) in Skokie. I’ll talk more about that in a minute.
First, though, if you’ve been to New Day in the last week you will know that we have a slide-show playing in the adjusting room featuring our practice members and their pets.
I thought this would be a fun way for everyone to get to show off their pet, and to get to know their fellow Sunshines a little bit more βοΈππ
Of course this slideshow is also meant to draw attention to our effort to gather donations for CARE
Haven’t submitted your photos yet?
You may submit more than one, but at least one of them must feature YOU with your fur-baby π
Just respond to this email with your photos πΈ
And just in case you are wondering (because it has already been asked!),Β no, CARE is not just some exclusive shelter for the fancy pets of the Northshore. π
CARE receives many of their adoptable pets from overflowing shelters in rural areas and the south, where the pets would otherwise be turned away or euthanized π
Because there are so many generous people and pet-lovers in this community, I want to see what we can do for this great community non-profit to support them in their mission πππβπ¦Ίππ
Here’s how you can help:
1. You can bring any unopened dog or cat food, cat litter, toys, etc., to New Day when you come for your next adjustment. If it’s not a type of food CARE will use, they will then donate it to a local pet food pantry to help pet owners in need π
If you have something pet-related that you wonder about donating,Β PLEASE READ this handy page on CARE’s website (for example, they do NOT want towels or animal prescription drugs!)
2. You can go to their Amazon Wishlist and make an orderΒ πβπ¦Ί
What I’d like you to do is to either a) have the item/s sent to your home, and bring the donations with you to your next appointment, OR b) have them sent here to New Day.
The reason I don’t want you to send them straight to CARE is that I think it will be more exciting and encouraging for everyone who comes to New Day to have a visual display of the donations we have received so far π
For example:
THESE are the donations we have so far (now you can see that we really need a lot more, right? π)
It will be so exciting to FILL this space by the window (and beyond?) with donations ππ₯βοΈβ¨ππ»
Please grab your donations and set them by your door so that you will remember to bring them to your next appointment!
AND/OR please use the Amazon Wishlist and have the item shipped to you, or to New Day (8059 Floral Ave)
CARE did also already recently receive $130 in cash donations from the attendees at last month’s Free Business Networking Happy Hour at New Day as well π€ (thank you for getting the ball rolling, business networkers!)
Thank you, as always, for the energy and caring that you bring to our New Day community.
I look forward to hearing from you, and seeing you for your adjustments this week π
