Let’s all get on the same page with some New Day move updates ✨

Can’t hurry construction 😂

Good afternoon, bright souls!

Thank you for opening this message.

I’ve been finding out recently just how many of you have not been seeing my recent emails and actually had NO IDEA that New Day wasn’t going to be in it’s new location on May 1st already!

I know that Gmail is VERY aggressive with sending things to spam and promotions, and so I’m going to be checking in with you about this issue when I see you at your visits. It is important for us to all be on the same page about all of this.

No, it’s not May 1st!

That’s old news actually– we moved the date up to June 1st about a month and a half ago to give us more time to get the new New Day ready.

And so it was to be June 1st. And everything was going as quickly as it needed to be for a smooth transition from New Day on Lincoln Ave in Chicago to New Day on Floral Ave in Skokie on June 1st 🏡

UNTIL. . .  😰😰😰

Well, as I jokingly said in the “preview text” of this message, “you can’t hurry construction” (which is just a play on my usual “you can’t hurry healing” because actually, you CAN hurry construction! We are hurrying!)

Right now I am looking at getting 1-2 more weeks in the current office on Lincoln Avenue, and even that is cutting it close with the construction and inspection timelines 😐

Design plans for the new adjusting room 💥

I know many of you who’ve been hearing about this move for many months now, and who loyally read my weekly messages, are probably getting bored and even frustrated hearing about all the delays.

Believe me, I understand! 🙏

I’m a “let’s just haul off and DO this” kinda girl when it comes to life’s transitions. And so all this hurrying to wait is draining me too.

But there is an upside to all of this.

Thanks to the hard work of my husband and his family, the new New Day is going to be SO beautiful, so welcoming, so warm, and so lovely and well-designed that we are all going to be even more proud to have this care and practice in our lives ☀️💖🙏🌀🌍

It will be worth waiting for!

For now, here is what I need you to know:

Everything is staying the same for most likely another month and a half.

That means if you’ve been waiting to schedule your June appointments because you don’t know where I will be or what my hours will be, you can go forward and do your scheduling 🙏😊

After the next few weeks, when we get closer to the end of this construction journey to where I can confidently say the exact date we will be moved in, I will then be adding the new shifts (there will be 2 Saturday mornings per month, and some “middle of the day” hours added Wednesday and Thursday) to the scheduling system 💥💥💥

I’m not going to add the new shifts until I’m 100 percent confident on the move day, because I think it will be more trouble for you to schedule them if then we end up having to cancel and reschedule them.

Thank you for continuing to show up every week and stay on the same page with me about all of this.

And thank you for all your kind words of encouragement to me in this process! I appreciate you so much 💗

The last thing I’d like to throw in is that if you can continue to be as self-sufficient as possible with your scheduling and account with me, I will be very grateful 🙏

Sometimes we forget (myself included) that it’s only been just about a year that I have been practicing in a staffless office.

There is so much that I love about being free to work with you and not being dependent on staff to help make that possible (thanks, technology!)

However it can become challenging at times like this when everyone has questions about their appointments, their payments, etc., and I’m handling all of that, plus everything with the move, plus my real job of taking care of you at New Day ☀️

So if you can have a little patience with me as well during this transition, I would really appreciate that too 😊

Thank you so much for your energy and engagement, and I look forward to seeing you at your appointments this week Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
