The power to choose

✨ Embracing the Power to Choose✨

We will be changing our days and hours starting February 1st

Good morning, sweet New Day practice members!

Let me first say that I am SO SO SO HAPPY that Chicago re-opened indoor dining (limited capacity of course) this past Saturday.  This is wonderful news for our neighborhood and city and is sure to help a lot of people we know.

It’s a trite (and sometimes obnoxious) saying that “the only constant is change.”  This has probably always been true, but we can finally really SEE it now, in the time of covid.

The gift is learning to trust life and trust ourselves to adapt to the changes around us, and use them as an opportunity to get clear on our priorities.

At New Day, we are adjusting the sails to current conditions, and are continuing to eagerly watch the horizon while we continue preparing for greatness for our community.

Dr. Virginia will no longer be able to practice with us at New Day, for the time being.

As most of you know, Dr. Virginia has been travelling from Springfield to practice at New Day every week, and that was just getting to be way too much.

And so even though she loves and cares about you and New Day very much, it is not working for her to continue at this time.

At the same time as Dr. Virginia has needed to make changes in her life and open herself up to seeing more clients down in Springfield, New Day also needs to adapt to the changing flow of our practice members.

Currently, we have some adjusting hours that are underutilized, and are therefore more difficult for the business to maintain.

I will be adjusting practice members Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons, beginning February 1st. We will not be able to have adjusting hours on Fridays and Saturday mornings for the time being.

If you will be impacted by this, we will be contacting you this week to help make sure you are taken care of in this transition.✨✨

Believe me, I HATE feeling like I’m taking something away from people.

And so I would really appreciate your understanding that this is a temporary change that is necessary for New Day the business, and for myself as the person who wants to be as focused an energized and creative as possible when I’m taking care of you every week.

I come into work every week, not to punch a time clock or to see a certain number of practice members or make a certain amount of money.

Cheesy though it may sound, my work at New Day, with you, is an expression of who I am and what I believe the world needs most that is within my power to offer.  It is to serve, and to contribute, and to be my best FOR the world.  This is what I choose.

In continuing to choose New Day and my care, you are making a powerful choice for yourself and your family that ripples out into the world as well.  I’m so honored to continue that work with you, and look forward to seeing you this week.

PS– If you would like to send a special message to Dr. Virginia to thank her for her time and talent and wish her the best on her next chapter, please click here.
