Structures for success

Structures for success

Making your care a priority

Good morning, New Day!

Do you ever notice how if you don’t schedule something, you don’t do it?

For example, I’ve been saying for months (years?) now that I want to have a time every week for reading my old notebooks and working creatively.

But have I done it?  Not consistently.  Have I scheduled it in?  Not at all 🙁

I’m coming clean about this because it’s something we all deal with.

We think that by having our entire weekly schedule revolve around duties, obligations, and things that if we don’t focus on them the house will burn down (metaphorically, but maybe literally), that we are being responsible.

Let’s take care of that stuff first, and then see what time we have left over for ourselves, right?

WRONG.

In this day and age, we all have the experience that there’s not enough hours in the day to do the things we want to do, let alone the things we need to do.

But the answer isn’t to stop scheduling things until all the other work gets done.

It’s to set priorities, and put structures in place that have us able to move forward on them.

When we don’t set priorities, and then put the appropriate structures in place in our lives to be in integrity with our priorities, it takes a toll.

That toll can be experienced as stress, overwhelm, aches and pains, difficulty sleeping, and a feeling of lack of progress in health and life.

But there’s another toll as well.  We tend to get less good results from the good things that we are doing when we only do them sporadically.

I see this all the time with our practice members.  When they start missing appointments, stop scheduling their appointments regularly and ahead of time, it stops giving them the results they want, even when they are doing it.

Because of the way our bodies, spines, and nervous systems work, care received regularly and over time for months and years is what yields the biggest dividends for our physical, emotional, mental health and quality of life both in the long term, and the short term.

That’s why our care is set up for you to do regularly and over time.  We do not have “a la carte” care because that has practice members not get results.  When something is a priority, it is energy rich for us and sets us up for success.

Many of us know this, but we can still fall off the wagon at times.  So we want to encourage you, this month, to move forward with purpose in your care and yield the results in your health and your life.

This month, when you help us help you by prioritizing your care and scheduling ahead, you will be entered into a raffle for $75 at one of my favorite restaurants, Gather!

You will receive one raffle entry for scheduling out until the end of your careplan (or receive one if you are scheduled out already), and one entry for scheduling until the end of the year (also one entry if you have done this already).  There are a total of 2 possible entries per person.

The raffle will take place on September 24th.  So at any of your appointments before then, you will chat with one of our team members to see that you are scheduled out and can enter the raffle.

Thank you for letting us help you.  It is an honor to be your chiropractor, and be on your team.  You are doing something very important for yourself and your health (and even the health of the world) by being the kind of person who creates structures for their success <3
