It’s not that often that I would be blogging again after just a week. But I have something important to share!
I have just arrived back in Chicago after attending Donny Epstein’s Gate in Colorado this weekend with Amber and 2 of our practice members. Donny Epstein, the chiropractor who created Network Care, created the Gate as a healing intensive that anyone can come to and have an extraordinary experience of themselves and their connection to humanity through the care, and his other technologies.
I know what you might be thinking “Extraordinary experience of themselves and their connection to humanity? Isn’t this about chiropractic?!” Yes and no. Network Care is the chiropractic application of a system in constant development by Donny Epstein called EpiEnergetics.
The point of it all, through the chiropractic application and the other technologies, is to impact a person’s available energy. The amount of energy available in the system determines not only our potential to self regulate and self heal in our bodies, but also determines our availability to emotional states, thoughts, and a consciousness that serves our own, and humanity’s, highest interests.
If this all sounds futuristic and out there, I agree with you that it is futuristic (in the best way possible). But as far as being “out there,” let me give you a really simple example of how this works, encapsulated in a story Donny shared with us this weekend.
NOT Donny’s actual office– but you get the picture!
In his original chiropractic office in Long Island City, New York, Donny had an office with that oh-so-attractive fake-wood panelling (this was the ’70s, after all!) On the wall, he had written a series of statements, each in a line, big enough that his practice members could read.
The initial statement read something to the effect of “I’m in pain and this is a very difficult day.” One line up, was a statement that read something to the effect of, “I’m in less pain, and I’ll make it through the day.” At the top, the last line read, “We’re all great, we’re all God, hooray!”
The point of all this was to enable Donny, and the practice member, to note which statement seemed to stand out the most. Invariably, when a practice member showed up in the office in pain, anxious, stressed, and in a state we now call “energy poor,” the person would comment about how yes, they are in pain and having a difficult day, ain’t that the truth!
Invariably, after sitting up from their adjustments, they would suddenly latch onto one of the higher up, higher energy level statements. This change, by virtue of the change in their available energy to feel, do, and perceive differently not just in their bodies, but in life. It wasn’t just going to be in Donny’s office, after all, that the person would be focusing on the more energizing and useful information with which to create meaning.
“We are what we practice” Donny said to us this weekend. When we practice pain, we are practicing separation– we are practicing the false idea that there are parts of our body or experience that are operating independently of the whole and should be silenced, fixed, or made to go away. When we open up to a new experience of ourselves, we are able to practice connection and oneness– the reality that no part of us is separate from the rest.
That practice of separation or the alternative goes for your shoulder (or insert place of pain), for parts of your daily or weekly experience that you wish to have go away, all the way on up to seeing the world as a cold, isolated, and senseless place instead of a place where our contribution in every moment, whether it is positive or negative, has an impact on all of humanity.
So what are you practicing this week? Some would say that it starts with the words you use. And indeed, if you walk around all day practicing “I don’t like this” by saying it out loud, that is who you become. But where does “I don’t like this” come from? It comes from an energy state in you. The point isn’t to silence yourself or positive-affirmation the “problem” away. The point is to begin to notice how, where, and when you practice separation and pain and how this expresses in your physical body.
All of this leads to my other main point in this blog. Your weekly chiropractic care is a necessary, healthy, and dare I say “fun” way to ensure that you are in the best position to practice the you that you are becoming for large percentages of your life. But there’s another practice, another experience that goes beyond the day to day, week to week of your Network Care experience at New Day.
Just as Donny created the Gate as a way to go deeper into an experience to radically upgrade your functioning and experiencing, so myself and Dr. Susan Gullion have created our next healing intensive to serve you in this same way.
A Healing Intensive isn’t necessarily for everyone all the time. Having the day to day, week to week, experience of care in the office provides your nervous system with the regular reminders it needs so that the brain and body have a stable basis for health.
A Healing Intensive, on the other hand, provides an opportunity to experience instability as a way to break through to another, higher level, higher energy experience of yourself and your relationship to your body (and the world).
Here’s how to know if the upcoming “I am” healing intensive is for you.
- You’ve been able to notice the effects of Network Care not only on your physical wellbeing but on your emotional, and and mental wellbeing and you want to go deeper for a bigger impact
- Thanks to your high level of awareness, you’ve been able to notice yourself stuck in some of the same low energy experiences and are ready for a breakthrough
- You’ve noticed yourself “I am’ing” in a way that don’t serve you or
- You already know yourself as someone who makes a big impact, and you are ready to bring your ability to contribute to your family and communities to the next level
Early registration for the event will run until March 5th, and registration will continue at full price thereafter until the event is full. Our last healing intensive was a huge success, with all participants reporting a memorable experience that created a noticeable impact.
In the words of one participant: “Love yourself and your journey enough to say yes to this! At one point during the intensive, I thought to myself, ‘Oh, I almost said no to this. I almost missed this!’ You’ll never regret the healing that will happen.”
Email us or call us to register, or register at your next appointment at New Day.
I look forward to seeing you at New Day for your adjustments this week.
