Movement on the table Part 2 ✨

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote and sent to you Part 1 of what I think you need to know about moving your body and spine on the table when you’re getting adjusted by me.

There’s a lot more that I would like to discuss on this topic, in preparation for the Bright Souls Gathering coming up on November, where we will see examples of all the different types of movements live and in person!

 

First, I want to circle back to a question that many of you may have been thinking when you read Part 1.

 

It’s a question/comment that I’ve heard MANY times over the years in practicing this work. . .Β 

 

 

 

This question/comment often comes up at workshops, or in the adjusting room when there is a particularly move-y sunshine on the table next to you.

 

“Am I moving enough?” πŸ™‹

 

“Am I too passive on the table?” 😰

 

“I feel like I’m just laying here like a log! Why aren’t I moving more?” 😰

 

I want to reassure you and encourage you. In your care with me (and always!) it helps to stay open and curious!

 

Again, make sure to read my last message,Β where I point out that we are humanΒ animals, and that just like if I were adjusting a little cat like Andy or Jethro, little movements or stretches can come naturally.

 

You may have noticed if you have seen me working with some of our little sunshines– babies and kids also tend to move their spines and bodies intuitively on the table πŸ‘§πŸ‘ΆπŸ‘¦

 

They move intuitively because they don’t have the (adult) conditioning that they are meant to “hold still while the doctor is working.” πŸ’₯

If reading this about babies and kids has you starting to judge yourself (“why can’t I get out of my head?!”), there’s something that I want you to really take in.

You don’t need to move on the table during your adjustments to please me, to “do it right,” to perform, or to achieve πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

What you really may need sometimes when you show up to New Day is to simply be able to “lay there like a log,” as I heard someone say recently ✨
