Is this all there is to it?

Is this all there is to it?
Answer: No 😊

Happy snowy dayNew Day! Thank you for opening this message I wrote for you ✨❄️✨

You’ve heard me say it before.

Starting Network Spinal care, and being in Network Spinal Care over time, is a PROCESS (not an event).

It may feel magical, mysterious, or even vague at first.

There might be adjustments with me when you don’t feel or notice much of anything.

And then there might be other adjustments like WHOA. Like the moment the movie goes from black and white to color in The Wizard of Oz 🌈

You may even feel a bit helpless at times, laying on the table, waiting for something to happen 😐

In the very first part of the process, the initial weeks and months, your nervous system is just starting to get into the state it will need to be in for you to get better, and more and more often in your life.

“Can it really be so simple?” You think, as you lay on the table, waiting for a noticeable change 🤔

“I’m supposed to just lay here patiently, while DrKatie does some mysterious voodoo on me, I don’t even talk to her much, and then I’m supposed to feel better?” 🤔🤔🤔

My answer to that question is “Yes, maybe at first.”

But ultimately, “No.” Let me explain.

Yes, in that that initial part of the care process with all the waiting, and wondering, and straining of your senses through your nervous system is necessary and helpful.

You need that parts of care where sometimes you sit up from your adjustment and think “did that do anything?”

You need the part where you are beginning to benefit, but don’t always know it yet ✨🙏✨

And helping us along is the simple fact that you’ve carved this time and energy out of your life to be with yourself, not looking at a phone, focusing on your body and spine 😊

Let’s face it, even if I WASN’T adjusting you, and you were just spending 15 minutes laying on a table awake and relaxing, with others who are doing the same, you would probably start to feel SOME type of benefit to your nervous system.

And so at the very beginning for many of us, YES– it is so simple as that.

Come in, lay down, get your spine checked and adjusted as I find necessary, leave, and repeat 💥💥💥

Somewhere along the line, within those initial weeks and months, your relationship with the care begins to change.

During this time you’ve been becoming more aware of your spine and nervous system, on and off the table. And that awareness begins to be a BIG help to you.

You may start to realize that your own focus and awareness and ability to engage with yourself are KEY 💥💥💥

Sure, we all have days, even years into our care, when we come in, flop down on the adjusting table, and think “fix me, doc!”

But you will become more and more aware of your ability to focus, breathe, move, and work with me and the work that we are doing, on and off the table ☀️💖🌀

This energy-rich part of your care process often reminds me of compounding interest in the world of investing 💰

Time and repetition is a big part of what helps with this transition, which in Network-speak we call transitioning from Discover to Transform.

There is also the group adjusting room, which compounds the results that you would be getting from just working with me one on one 🌍☀️

Open your eyes and ears during your adjustments, and when you’re waiting to get on the table 👀👂✨

Use the adjustments to get to know yourself and your nervous system and what seems to “work” for you (focusing on your breath, focusing on sensation, moving around a little bit).

And, last but DEFINITELY not least, I recommend that you make use of one of our free workshops to help you, at whatever stage you are in the process ☀️☀️☀️

This week, Saturday, I will be teaching a free Focused Breath workshop on zoom at 12:30PM.

This breathwork is based on work by Donny Epstein, the creator of Network Spinal care.

It helps you both as it’s own stand-alone technique, and it helps you continue to develop the type of focus and awareness that will help you get more and more out of your adjustments.

The info is below!

Please click here to RSVP for this workshop, so that we can be sure to send you a reminder about this so that you don’t miss out.

Thank you for being part of our community! I look forward to seeing you at your adjustments (and hopefully on Saturday at Focused Breath) this week ☀️💖🌍
