All about Taylor š
Good afternoon, sunshine-on-a-cloudy-day šāļø
Seriously though, I was just outside wearing boots and a winter coat WTH š¤¦āāļø #midwestliving
For those of you who come in for care on Tuesday mornings, Thursday nights, and now also on Saturday mornings, you may have come across Taylor āļø
Or you might not have yet, because she might have been tucked away in my office helping me text you sunshines back and schedule your appointments š
Taylor has been assisting me part time with many things, including keeping me caught up with your correspondences, staying on top of things while I’m with clients, putting blogs on my website, social media, and events ššÆāāļøš„ļøšøāØ
She’s been helping me since last fall, but I’ve never properly introduced her until now! I’m SO GLAD this is finally happening!!
As you might imagine, there are some potential obstacles to hiring someone to work in a space like New Day š
The main issue is that I need someone with an awesome energy who doesn’t kill the vibe! šāØš
(I’ve been lucky to have had a lot of amazing employees over the years, as some of you Bright Souls who’ve been with me since the old office can probably remember!)
Taylor brings an incredible energy, focus, and creativity in supporting me and all of us at New Day! (For example, she’s spearheading a new effort around featuring one outstanding Sunshine in our blog and social media every month) š„š„š„
She’s also multi-talented, working as a photographer, yoga and meditation instructor, with kids at a summer camp, and more āŗļøš§āāļøšø
Make sure to pop back to the small office and say “hi” to her if she’s ever here when you are here!
I have a little interview with her here for you to enjoy as well! āØāØāØ

Q1: What lead you to New Day?
Answer: My sister was actually the one who first introduced me to New Day.
When she explained what Dr. Katie does during the appointments, I was definitely in the āIāll believe it when I see itā mindset. But once I went with her and just watched her during a session, I instantly fell in love with the entire experience.
Iāve always understood that weāre made up of energy that holds onto informationābut learning how this practice actually helps realign your nervous system was something completely new to me. It opened my eyes in such a powerful way.
The energy at New Day is incredible. The moment you walk through the doors, itās like stepping into sunshine and magic.
Maybe itās the sun catchers by the windows, or maybe itās the beautiful healing vortex that this space holdsābut you can truly feelĀ the good juju all around you. Itās something special.

Taylor takes amazing photos such as this oneĀ
at the Appreciation Day last September!
Q2: What is your favorite part of working at New Day?
Answer:Ā I mean⦠if itās not the magic vortex you feel the moment you walk through the door, I donāt know what else it could be! Thereās just something so special about New Dayāitās truly a space IĀ love coming to.
Since working with Dr. Katie, Iāve become so much more self-aware, and Iāve realized how important it is to surround myself with the kind of energy I want to embody. And New Day is exactly that.
In addition to being the assistant at New Day, Iām also a full-time photographer and yoga instructor.
Before stepping fully into photography, I was the head trainer and operations manager at a HIIT training facilityāand I absolutely loved every minute of it. The energy, the clients, the transformationāI truly live for being part of peopleās journeys.
Over the years, Iāve taught just about every group fitness class you can think ofābootcamp, cycling, strength training, yoga.
These days, Iām more rooted in the slower, mindful side of movement, teaching yoga and leading meditation. That shift is exactly what drew me to New Day and inspired the path Iām currently on.
Iām now working toward becoming a certified yoga therapist, and I have big dreams of expanding into other holistic healing modalities.
Iām passionate about exploring things like EFT tapping, acupuncture, and other mind-body practices. One step at a time, Iām chasing those dreams.
Q3: Jethro, or Andy?Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā
Answer:Ā Honestly, I love themĀ bothābut I see Andy more often, so those baby blue eyes just get me every time. I mean, how can you not just fall into them?
That said, Iāve got green eyes myself, so Jethroās contrast? Chefās kiss.
I really canāt pick⦠I wantĀ to say Andy, but then I remember this super cute selfie I took with Jethro one time andāugh, itās impossible! Letās just say my heartās torn in the sweetest way.
Q4: What do you like to do for fun?
Answer: Iām all about being outsideāsunshine, fresh air, nature, all of it.
With a Capricorn rising, I definitely lean into that earthy side. I love being surrounded by flowers, laying in the grass, just looking up at the sky or getting lost in the trees. Itās where I feel most at home.
Iām also the friend whoās almost always down to try something new. Whether itās something chill or a little wild.
Farmers markets and local festivals are my thing, and now that Chicago summer is here, Iām ready for all of it. Oh, and if there’s a good cover band playing? Iām ināno questions asked.
