I haven’t always been the best at this…

I haven’t always been the best at this. . .

but it’s being worked on 💥

Good evening, sunshines! I look forward to seeing you this week in the “sunshine room” (one of you referred to the adjusting room last week as “the sunshine room” and I loved it! We should start calling it that all the time!) ☀️☀️🏡☀️☀️

Yesterday, New Day turned 13! Can you believe it? 🤯

Some of you reading this are newer with me, and some of you have been connected with me this whole time. Thank you for being a soul, and playing an important role, in my life and the life of this practice ☀️✨🌀💗🌍

One question I receive often from clients and potential clients is why someone would choose to be in my care weekly for months and years on end. Maybe even for 13 years at this point?!

And why, for others, would they see me just sometimes? Or see me for a while, and then not for a while, and then back in the sunshine room again?

That could be a complicated question. Because everyone in their bodies and situation is different.

I trust you to know your own body. You’re the one who lives in it 24/7 (not me!)

Some people just see me once or twice and decide it’s not for them, or not for them right now. No judgement– I trust you to know what’s going to help you!

AND we all can benefit from being offered a different perspective and expertise. Because we can’t see everything ourselves and do everything ourselves. I’m here for you!

I’m here both to meet you where you are at in your healing process, acknowledging that it’s ok for you to have your own reasons for seeing me or not seeing me, as well as to hold a higher vision for you, the care, and the community 😍

There is a certain percentage of people who try Network Spinal care and just LOVE IT.

They find that it helps them so much and in so many ways that it actually SAVES them time and money on other things they would be trying. It provides a helpful routine and structure in their lives, a weekly touchpoint for their own wellness and growth. And they never want to stop (see my blog from last year about “Network People” to find out if this is you 😊)

Wherever you are in your care process with me, there is a need to assess your progress– in your health, your nervous system, your spine, your self-awareness, and your just your life generally.

And I must confess that I haven’t always been the best at helping you do that😅

“What changes are you seeing in my body? What do you think needs work still?”

I made the above video last week to discuss a question asked by one of our Wonder Bunch.

It is meant for all of you. Please watch/listen to this if you think it might apply to you.

The challenge I have experienced, in assessing “progress,” is that we live in a world, a culture, a society, a healthcare system, that really only registers “progress” or “better” or “improvement” in a VERY limited way 😐

Improvement, in our limited mainstream framework means something bad– a pain, a problem, a limitation– reducing or going away. This is what “getting better” means to most people, most of the time.

Not only is the bad/better framework limiting– it’s not even accurate. There is SO MUCH MORE to notice, experience, feel, do, and create 💗💥☀️🌀🌍

The first few months that you are in care with me are meant to really meet you where you are at with your pain and symptoms, while simultaneously seeking to foreshadow a bigger picture for you in your health, energy, and life ✨

What happens after that initial phase?

After your first reassessment, you might be guided forward by your continued desire to keep problems at bay. You’re entitled to want that! At the same time, you are growing and changing and that needs to be acknowledged.

We need a framework, a method, for assessing this with you. I haven’t done a good job with this 🥲

Otherwise, sometimes in care with me, you sometimes might find yourself thinking, “I enjoy this. I know it helps me, sometimes in intangible ways. But am I actually getting better? And on what basis?”

It’s been confusing for me sometimes over these 13 years, figuring out how and when and why to measure “progress” with you.

But– Wonderbooks to the rescue! I’m beginning to formulate a plan based on your feedback, especially from those of you doing the Wonderbooks 💥👯‍♀️💥

Thankfully, we don’t have to make up a whole new system to conceptualize your progress and improvements 💥

Donny Epstein already came up with one for us!!

It’s called the 12 Stages of Healing 💥💥

I picked up a couple of helpful ideas to help in this effort this past November when I was at Donny’s 12 Stages Phenomenon program.

And I’m continuing to receive the other pieces of information I need to create a template for measuring progress with you 🌀💥💗👯‍♀️☀️

In the meantime, if you’re ready to dig in (and this is a community with a disproportionately high number of advanced bright souls!) you can check out some blogs I’ve written over the course of the last 13 years that touch on The 12 Stages of Healing.

Because if you haven’t been to one of my workshops beyond Intro to Care, such as Focused Breath, you might not know even know anything about The 12 Stages of Healing yet!

And/or you do but you want a refresher. Check these out:

Like you’re switching between 2 stations

“This stuff really works!”

How much more can you release?

It is a journey, BUT

Network Spinal. . . what’s the point of all of this?

Trump and the 12 Stages

Thank you for all your engagement and the energy you add to me and this whole community! I look forward to seeing you this week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 💖
