I love your smile

I love your smile

This is important to me

Happy Monday, New Day. Thank you for opening this message and choosing to contribute your energy to this community ☀️

There’s lots going on this week– scroll down for announcements about our Yacht Rock outing, and more!! ⬇️⚓️💃

On Friday I held the third of three small Group Follow Up workshops (I will be scheduling a couple more in August if you are interested and were unable to go) 💥💥💥

That time with you, in person, sharing with you and learning more about you your experiences has been SO precious to me 💖

It was something that was really missing from our lives over the past couple years!

The fact is, we really do need to be together, in person sometimes, fully recognizing and benefitting from our interconnectedness 🌍

On that note, there is something I want to discuss with you, and I hope you don’t find what I’m going to share rude or triggering.

Lately I have noticed that a lot more people out in the world, and at New Day, seem to be wearing masks again  😷

As a disclaimer here, I wholeheartedly believe that personal choice related to health is always key. Hopefully that doesn’t surprise you 🤗

I trust you, and I generally assume that whether you are wearing a mask or not wearing a mask that you are doing so according to your highest ideals and felt sense of what is needed for you, in the moment ✨✨✨

At the same time, as someone who is interested in (and passionate about) health, vitality, transformation, expression, and growth, I also have some thoughts about this that I’d like to share.

When I decided to stop wearing a mask at New Day, with the lifting of the Chicago mask mandate in March, my life improved DRAMATICALLY 💥

It was very unexpected, actually. Surprisingly so.

I mean, I got married last year. I travel. I have friends. I love my “work.” Despite the stress going on in the world, it’s not like I’ve been having a bad time lately! 😂😊🙏

And I did know already that I didn’t want to be wearing a mask, certainly not for the long term, and so it shouldn’t have been much of a surprise to me that I would notice an improvement in my life starting in March.

But, and like a lot of things as it turns out, you can really get used to anything if you have to.

I simply had NO IDEA just how negatively I was being impacted by masking as a long-term and daily practice until I was maskless.

Being able to share my smile. . . it may sound cheesy, but I honestly feel like I could start crying just thinking about this and sharing this with you. . . . . . . 😭🙏😊

For me, the benefit of not wearing a mask, for my health and my ability to fully feel our connection with each other as a community, has been PRICELESS. I will NEVER take it for granted again 💓🌍☀️

I have no doubt whatsoever that my entire physiology, on a cellular level, has changed and improved with the ability to show my face and to look at your face.

This makes sense neurologically. We are wired for connection and our ability to see ourselves in others (don’t forget about your mirror neurons).

I am choosing to share my experience and my take on this, because I like to be honest with you. And in case you’re wondering why I’m not wearing a mask at New Day.

I believe that doing what’s best for you in your health and personal path is the best way to support everyone else. The part cannot be separate from the whole ✨💓🌀

And, in the moments when you are deciding what is best for you in your health and your life around masking, I would like to encourage you to be present to how it might feel to be willing to share your face and yes, your breath, versus the impact on you and others when you are might not willing or able to do so.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and consider my perspective, which I know might not be popular. I look forward to seeing you at your adjustments this week ✨😊☀️
