Meet our August 2020 New Day Practice Member(s) of the Month!

(It’s Dr. Katie.  As some of you know, I have been doing a couple of house calls lately.  The Loughlins are a family in Lockport that I have the honor of doing a house call with every week!  You can check out their story, below.)

Why I came to New Day:

Jackie: I started care in February (of 2020), very pregnant, AND living over an hour away.  But after I had tried Network at an event I attended, I was very excited to get started with Dr. Katie!  But then, with covid and being pregnant, I stopped care about a month after I started (in March).  And I’m so grateful for someone in my life who said to me “are you leaning into fear, or are you leaning into faith and trust?”  And so at that moment we explored and co-created with Dr. Katie the option of in-home care.

James:  I had received care a handful of times before (through another practitioner) but had never had it on a regular basis. I had experienced a variety of benefits from the care, but wondered how much better the results could be if I had more frequent care.  And so I got started really just mostly out of curiosity and my desire to continue to grow and develop into who I’m meant to be.

My chiropractic results:

James: What I’ve experienced is really a deeper understanding of myself, a deeper connection to myself, a “no pun intended” more of a “backbone” with myself and who I am, a deeper trust in myself.

Jackie: And I saw a NOTICEABLE difference when I stopped coming for care, and I think it was 3 weeks that I didn’t go.  I felt it in my body, in my mind, and so I was so grateful to start back up again!  And also so grateful to have the whole family in care.  Rosie had Dr. Katie’s care in the womb for half of the pregnancy, and outside the womb starting the day after she was born!

Jackie: When we asked Cohen (age 6) the first time what his experience was after getting adjusted, he said “I just feel so happy!” And you expect your kid to say that after you give them an ice cream sundae or after you take them to the amusement park.  But after receiving care for his body!  To hear, as a parent “I just feel so happy”– that’s really fulfilling. . .   And there’s a feeling of love that they feel for you (Dr. Katie)  and they feel it within themselves.  It’s beautiful!”

James:  There’s something that I think happens inside of them that we can’t describe or put language into, and neither can they, nor can they understand.  But it’s something profound that’s taking place.  I think a lot of that was evident when Katie came the first time and there was some hesitation, but it was something they were willing to try.  And after that it was something that they were genuinely excited and happy at the idea of Dr. Katie coming.  I think it’s because they know that they are receiving some kind of benefit from this.  Because it’s not like they had interacted with Dr. Katie enough to like her as a person!  They pretty much just lay on the bed, and then get up and do their thing.   But they genuinely look forward to it and I think it’s because they’re getting served on a deeper level with something that they don’t get anywhere else.

Why I continue my care with Dr. Katie and Dr. Virginia:  

James: I’m continuing to choose to receive care is to continue exploring where this journey is going to take me.  It’s really supporting some other things I’m doing in my life and helping me come into greater alignment.  I’m excited for the ride!

Jackie: What abundance, possibility, and co-creation!  That’s what healing and growth and transformation is– it isn’t one-size fits all.  But it is a high commitment and value of ours to receive the care.
