But it's true! Tonight at New Day, 8059 Floral Avenue in Skokie from 5:30 to 7:30pm we'll be holding the final Free Business Networking Happy Hour of the year 🥂

November 13th happens to be my wedding anniversary, in addition to being the evening of our next Free Business Networking Happy Hour (don't worry, we are going on a trip this weekend to celebrate 🥂💍👰🤵‍♂️)

I will be co-hosting with my pal, marvelous networking, and health enthusiast Rita Roatis of Rita's Harmonious Healing.

The unique and helpful thing that I think Network

The unique and helpful thing that I think Network Spinal has to add to this growing body of work about the nervous system and how to address it is the central role of the SPINE in expressing, modulating, and limiting energy and information to move freely through the nervous system (ie for you to be able to move, have emotion, feel, think, and function).

And by "spine" I'm not primarily talking about the bones of the spine.

I'm talking about the continuous system of bungee-cord like nerve tissue from your brain and brain stem, through your spine cord, and then branching out into your body ✨💗🌀💥

The posture of the body, expressing from the brain and through every nerve cell of the body, causes, impacts, effects, and limits tension, function, emotion, and thought (whether it's fight, flight, freeze, flop, or some combination of all of these!)

Arguably, your nervous system, and your spine as a huge part of that, are busy at all times playing the program that is YOU 😃

This is why I strongly believe that while you absolutely need to be diving into learning more about the nervous system on social media, podcasts, and the like, and finding out about new modalities and practitioners and working on self-care for your nervous system, that working with a practitioner through a spine-centered approach needs to be KEY 🔑🔑

I know I'm biased, but WOW Network Spinal does so much for so many people on their healing journey by addressing the nervous system through a spine-centered approach 🧡🤗

Have you noticed that lately people everywhere see

Have you noticed that lately people everywhere seem to be talking about "the nervous system"?

Just a cursory connection to wellness and healing oriented content on Instagram or Youtube, podcasts, or books will bring you all kinds of tips, tricks, theories, and modalities meant to address your nervous system.

In case you were wondering, this has NOT always been the case!

In fact, I specifically remember only 5-6 years ago a mentor of mine in the world of Network Spinal advised me that I shouldn't use "nervous system" in my marketing or speaking with clients-- because that just confuses people

In fact, this particular doctor urged us to use "nerve system" with our patients and clients instead of "nervous system." Nerves are physical and make sense to people, he argued. "Nervous system," he said, just makes people think about being nervous 😱

I was already engaged in work to help people heal at that level of health (and luckily I DID NOT heed advice about not using "nervous system" in my communications )

It's become the province of body-centered psychotherapy practices and techniques, self-care techniques, and is propagated by academics, practitioners, coaches, and even spiritual gurus.

I'm happy about all of this!🌞

Chiropractors and Network Spinal doctors don't own the "nervous system" (though arguably chiropractors waaaayyy missed the boat at a critical juncture when they were sticking to their old-timey ideas about the public instead of picking up on this "nervous system" trend)

Public interest around nervous system regulation and dysregulation is in response to a HUGE need for techniques, modalities, and practitioners who are willing to go deeper

In short, the interest around the nervous system, and the many ways you can address your nervous system, is too huge and too numerous to be contained within one type of practitioner and one profession.

We need healing on many levels, and from multiple angles and perspectives. We have many different parts and they all require something special. 💗
